The Final Shutter has Closed

I haven’t quite become part of the elusive ex-Team yet, but today was that final step towards that status today by taking my last photo as the X-Team photographer.

It seems slightly premature to remenice about my whole career at Shenfield as I don’t leave til Friday, and also too early to say farewell to the old team as I still have atleast two more shows to help with, a National Theatre play as script reader and an awards evening to film. However I can finally say that I have finished my job as X-Team photgrapher, so technically no more photos of the team or shows will be taken. I feel that isn’t quite true yet, but technically I have finished, so I could, in theory chose my favourite photo. That is slightly more difficult that it sounds, the X-Team set alone on Flickr contains 545 photos, and some more will probably worm their way in somewhere, my show sets are also fairly large, and I dread going through them. The last set, Battle of the Bands, stands currently at 15, but I have over 200 more photos to sift through and work out which to upload before that is finished.

So whilst my official job is over I still have a bit of work to do, but my final photo has been shot. So as I upload them tomorrow I shall also be looking through for a few of my favourite photos. And my reminiscence about Shenfield may also go on a temporary hold. I have a film to watch and a BBQ to attend on Friday after I leave, a gaming day to go to on Saturday, and the Southend Airshow is on Sunday, so it may well be Monday before I get to look back on those seven long years at Shenfield High School, but hey, gives me time to think something up.

But on the bright side, that Hovercraft everyone said would never fly, is so close you can taste the petrol, well, Mr. Adams can.
